NDCA teaches students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8. Our ideal class size is 20 students so that each child can receive the care and attention they need. We seek to provide a vibrant and engaging learning environment.
We love little ones! For Junior and Senior Kindergarten, we provide the option of a half-time or full-time program. We know that your children will have a great start to their education with us.
Newmarket and District Christian Academy uses the Ontario Ministry of Education curriculum expectations as a guideline. The difference at NDCA is that all curriculum is taught from a Christian perspective.
Bible Curriculum and Spiritual Life
The Bible is taught as an additional subject in all grades. We use a variety of curriculum materials including Positive Action for Christ. We believe that memorizing Scripture is important, and it is a weekly feature of the Bible class.
NDCA begins teaching French in Junior Kindergarten, continuing through grade 8. There are many opportunities for students in all grades to practice their French language skills, including plays and presentations.
We believe that music enriches an individual’s life beyond childhood, and an involvement in music can even enhance a child’s performance in academics. Our extensive music program begins in Junior Kindergarten and continues through grade 8. Students begin learning the ukulele in grade 3, and their choice of a brass or woodwind instrument as well as participation in our choir beginning in grade 5.
