“We lived a 45-minute highway drive from NDCA. We made this trip every day for seven years
and do not regret one moment of it.”
“In September of 2000 our children, Johnny (Gr. 8), Jeremy (Gr. 4) and Anna (Gr. 2) attended their first day at NDCA. Unhappy with the values and influences our children experienced at our local public school, my husband and I decided to try a private Christian school. We looked at several and the Lord led us to NDCA.
We were concerned about the transition between schools for our eldest son Johnny who was entering Grade 8. After 2 weeks, he settled in as he realized that the teachers ‘really cared about him and that he understood what they were teaching him.’ It was a wonderful relief for my husband and I to learn that the other families shared the same values, beliefs and principles as us.
NDCA became like family to us. It was such a blessing to have our children learn in a Christian environment and from a Christian point of view. When conflicts arose they where handled Biblically and ended with the parties involved praying together. Our children have all graduated from NDCA and successfully transitioned into the public high school setting.
In 2001 I joined the NDCA Board of Directors as Chair of Education and held that position for three years. During my term on the Board of NDCA I grew in my faith and learned a great deal about private education. As I stepped out in faith to serve on the Board, God was faithful and met me there and blessed our family.
I have to mention that we lived a 45-minute highway drive from NDCA. We made this trip every day for seven years and do not regret one moment of it. It was well worth the drive to Newmarket to have our children attend NDCA. My only regret is that we didn’t have our children attend NDCA for all of their school years.”
